Strong support for pregnancy varicose veins

"These were high quality and provided good support for my painful varicose veins (vulvar and legs) during my most recent pregnancy. I was concerned about spending the money for a pair of tights that might just snag and be ruined, but they are thick enough that I didn't have any issues. For most purposes, I wore a belly/groin band for vein comfort, but these tights were perfect for Sundays, etc. when I was wearing thinner/dressier clothes and didn't want the bulky band showing through. The only downside was it took 5 minutes to put them on every time, but it was worth the effort for great compression!"

Are these 20-30 mmHg pantyhose for women only? I have a doctors prescription for 20-30 mmHg closed toe pantyhose and I was fitted with maternity pantyhose because of my large stomach. When I asked the lady told me these are the best fit for my body style. These feel fine but because these are women's pantyhose shoe I try a new retailer to be re-sized?
